I signed up for Taekwondo on a whim—midlife crisis, maybe. I was overweight, overworked, and overwhelmed. The first class nearly knocked me flat. But something inside me said: come back.

That was two years ago.

Today, I’m a red belt. I’ve lost 30 pounds. I sleep better. I walk taller. But more than that, I found something I didn’t even know I was missing—my confidence. I stopped saying ‘I can’t.’

Taekwondo taught me how to fight—not just opponents, but self-doubt, laziness, fear. I’m not trying to be a champion. I’m just trying to be better than I was yesterday. And at Master Kim's Tae kwon do, I’ve found the people and place that push me to do that every day."
